Dear Virus, Infection, or whatever you are...

Please exit the body of my child. She is frail and weak and is tired of having a fever. She needs to keep her food in her tummy, she wants to feel better. She would like the body racking coughing to cease. You have managed to have her on any and all medication to prevent her from going into the hospital, you have been on an 8+ day rampage on her and she's tired. You have weasled your way into her sisters and her mother and none of them care for it either. They can better handle your wicked tyraid but it tends to make everyone grumpy, weak, and just generally unpleasant. You have managed to drop Lillian's weight a whole pound in a very short time....you have made her Mom question every decision she has made regarding what to do. Please make haste and leave this household. You have inflicted your damages and we need reprieve.

  1. Gosh! This is non stop for you! I am sorry. I wish for at least one month that you have no sick kids. You would hopefully be able to sleep better.

I hope you all feel better soon and stay healthy!!

  2. There's an idea that I haven't thought of before.....talk to the illness and hope that it listens better than our children do! Great thinking!

I'm sorry that this bug is invading your home and all of you! I pray that it goes away VERY SOON!!! Love, Hugs and Prayers!!!

  3. "Go on now, GIT!!!" I say to the illness!

Or maybe a different plea, like that guy who was crying his mascara off about Britney Spears: "Leave her ALONE!!! Waaaaa!!!" Make sure you screw your mouth up into that awful shape he made his. I hope you know what I'm talking about, otherwise I am looking very foolish and weird right about now! ;)

Anyway, just trying to bring a smile to your face, if only for a moment. Hang in there sweetie.

  4. Dear virus or whatever you are---please go away! We don't like you! You have been tormenting our friend Michelle and her sweet daughter Lillian long enough!

Dear God---Please take away this illness and heal Lillian. Give Michelle the strength and wisdom she needs right now. Thank you that Lillian has been able to stay home from the hospital so far.

That just about covers it! :)

  5. I think you were too polite. I'll ask it to vacate... can't write the words here. I'll yell at it from my bedroom.hehe. And I'll back it up with some major prayers!
The prayers will probably help more. wish you were close to me so I could help.

  6. Prayers are with you, Michelle. Which trisomy does Lillian have? Someone always has to beat the odds, and there is always a first child who leads the way in conquering various syndromes. Years ago, when my daughter was born, only 50% of children with spina bifda live. Now pretty much they all do, and my granddaughter's spina bifida was considered a "minor" problem (well, compared to arriving disassembled, humpty-dumpty-like, I suppose it is minor). I pray for you to beat all the odds and for Lillian to lead the way for doctors to triumph over these issues.
