Maybe home tomorrow

Today we are trying to wean Lillian from oxygen and maybe she'll get to go home tomorrow. She is still vomiting, but we can deal with that. I don't mind telling you i'm a little tired of talking to ten different doctors a day (ok, maybe not that many) but just sick of having to deal with them AND my daughter being the guinea pig for all the students/orientees. She is one of kind and usually the only trach kid on the floor so they all want to "work" with her. I'm ready to fly this coop.

Make a sign for Lillian's door...The mother in this room is no longer able to answer any more questions. Please refer to THE chart!!!!

Ready to feel loved.....today Madeline was filling out a prewrite for a story about going on a picnic. She was to jot down some ideas-one being who she'd take with her. I had encouraged the kids to use describing words.

She wrote, "my special mom and unbelievable dad"

That ought to make you smile!

  6. Hey Michelle,
I hated to hear that Lillian is at the hospital again! We have been thinking lots about you guys! Let me know what I can do! I miss you! Hang in there, you are by far one of the strongest mothers I know, despite what you feel. Give a kiss to Lillian from us!
